Enter the Loop of Confidence

That’s actually of my sayings and possibly one of my favorites. I come from a background of 10 years of service in the Marine Corps and I have learned that without confidence you cannot be an effective leader; which is exactly why the military has developed many methods to instill confidence in their members at every levels.

Overcoming the Plight of Procrastination

Quicker and quicker things are being accomplished in today’s world. Computers, PDAs, cell phones, and many more marvels of modern technology have enabled us to accomplish more in less time then we could have imagined a mere 10-15 years ago. With all this ability to get things done at our fingertips, why do so many put off their responsibilities and even their dreams? Why do they put off accomplishing tasks that would launch their careers, their relationship, or their self-esteem to new heights? Why do they continue to endure the pain of wondering “What if?” Let us spend a few minutes answering those questions, as well as sharing some steps, you can take to avoid becoming (or remaining) at the mercy of the plight of procrastination.

Life - Time is Precious

In life, men are controlled by time. They are always fighting against it. If time is not seen, man will not be so anxious. Think too much about it for time alone controls every action of man. By night one rests and by day one works. If men can forget about time, then they may work without even thinking of time to rest. Yet men are anxious of this movement of time. When one works, time should not be the limit of work done. Rather remember that time is ever on the move and once gone, it will never return. Thus, why should men be so scared of spending more time? For if more time is spent, more work can be achieved.

Supreme Self-Esteem

Ever wondered what it is about those people that have self-esteem and those that don’t? Would you like more self-Esteem?

Self-esteem is incredibly important. In fact, I think it is so important that I am going to say that again. Self-esteem is incredibly important. Many people have the notion that it is the same as self-confidence; however it is far more than just self-confidence. If we look further into the origins of the word esteem itself, as we look etymologically, it comes from the word aestimate, which literally means to put a value on. As you might guess, this word shares the same root as the word estimate. Therefore, we can see that self-esteem, really does just mean; the value we put on ourselves.

Subtle Addictions

Many people are aware of the fact that addictions are used to avoid pain, and most of us are aware of the common addictions: food, alcohol, drugs, gambling, TV, spending, work, sex, rage and so on. Most people, however, are not aware of the more subtle addictions, the addictions that are often so covert and pervasive that they are as invisible to us as the air we breathe.
